About the Author
Dorene J. Stamper is the mother of five, grandmother of twelve, and great-grandmother of one. Family is very important to her, so each month she creates a family newsletter to keep her family close. She has held several callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which required her skills in decorating, as well as creative writing. Her motto is, ‘You must believe before you can succeed’.
Stamper started her writing career at the age of seventeen, when selling her first story to Pony Record, a magazine devoted to ponies. Throughout her life she has written in numerous periodicals, and had enjoyed a short career, of under two years, as a news reporter for the Southern Oregon News. It was only when the owner of the publication retired that she did the same. This gave her the time needed to write her first novel titled, Jeanetta Lynn Parker in The Birth of a Nation.
Stamper has always loved to write, and her God given talent captivates readers as they learn about American history and other subjects. Within the pages they will experience the practice of good moral values, and insight into their own life.
People who have previewed the novel, and read her short stories feel as if they were transported back in time to witness the events unfolding within the adventure. Her easy reading style breathes life into the characters as they experience action, tears of joy and sorrow. Ultimately to find that disappointment does not always mean failure. Stamper feels that you must keep on trying until you have finished the race. Win or lose, it's up to you.
